Cellular Service Technician
JOB DESCRIPTION
We have an immediate opening for an experienced Cellular Service Technician.
The successful candidate will manage and handle the testing, repairs and refurbishing of cellular phones and wireless devices. He/she will handle the triage, flashing, testing, production and service level. He/she must be energetic, achievement-oriented, motivated individual with a high sense of urgency who thrives in a fast paced, team environment. Candidate must be ready to start work immediately.
Requirements
· Ability to manage triage projects (Sort and receive phones)
· Must have Canadian/USA service and technician experience
- Experience and working knowledge of Blackberry and iPhone repairs and refurbishing; and ability to perform Level 3 repairs
- Must have minimum 3 years experience repairing cellular phones
· Working knowledge of CDMA & GSM Devices
- Must be familiar with Canadian makes and models
· Knowledge of cellular software programs
- Must have some manufacturer training certificate
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook), Internet; advanced Excel user preferred
- Excellent written, verbal and listening communication skills; fluent in English
· Lean process engineering knowledge or training would be a great asset
- Ability to manage warehouse personnel
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to constantly changing workload while maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency
- Good relationship management skills
- Ability to complete tasks with minimal or no supervision; and work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of all customer information at all times
- Minimum College Diploma
- Willing and able to work overtime when required

Their biggest customer is John Deere, then Volvo, then Mack.
This is a 3 month contract that should go longer based on volumes and sales. Things are very busy right now
Responsibilities: Day to day responsibilities are
- Welding plates and assemblies for trucks and material handling equipment
- Reading Blue prints to understand size/diameters/shapes of parts
- Working with prototypes and finished product
- Doing basic fitting (Mechanical assembly)
Must Have: 3 + years of
Experience in Production Shop
Experience with Carbon Steel products
Must have CWB or ASME certificate (Or have been TSSA certified)
Automotive background would be ok
Ability to work overtime
Must be flexible on shift. (3 shift operation) First shift is . Second Shift is . Potential for 3rd shift soon
Must have the ability to repeatedly lift 40pds throughout the day.
Must have experience in a loud industrial environment and be familiar with Health and Safety. (ISO environment)
Must be able to work independently
